SELECTIVE ENGINE CONTROL

Add tuning authority without discarding the factory ECU

The universal piggyback ECU is installed between selected engine sensors, the original ECU and supported actuators. The exact signals used are determined by the vehicle, engine configuration and tuning objective. This makes the controller suitable for focused upgrades where the factory ECU must continue handling the rest of the vehicle.

01

Fuel adjustment

Support a richer or leaner fuel strategy within the confirmed operating range. Injector configuration, fuel-system capacity and calibration method must be reviewed for each project.

02

Ignition strategy

Apply supported ignition corrections where the selected controller and vehicle interface permit. Trigger pattern, coil arrangement and protection requirements are confirmed before supply.

03

Airflow and load signals

Work with selected MAP, MAF, throttle or related load signals when required by the application. Signal type, voltage range and wiring method must match the vehicle.

04

Boost-related projects

Integrate the piggyback engine management strategy into turbo conversion or boost-up projects, including pressure feedback and compatible control hardware where specified.

THREE SUPPLY LEVELS

Choose the package around your installation

Start with one evaluation unit, then define the wiring, accessories and private-label requirements for repeat supply.

A

Controller unit

For experienced integrators who will design and build the vehicle-side wiring independently.

  • Piggyback ECU controller
  • Confirmed connector set
  • Pinout or connection reference
C

Project-specific supply

A reviewed package built around the confirmed engine, factory ECU and installation plan.

  • Controller and selected harness
  • Required connectors or accessories
  • OEM branding and packaging options

Package contents vary by quotation. Only components listed in the confirmed proforma invoice are included.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION

Controller, wiring and calibration must be planned together

A piggyback ECU is not a universal plug-in power upgrade. Reliable operation depends on correct signal identification, electrical compatibility, wiring quality, engine condition and professional calibration. Before quoting, LikedLinking reviews the application information supplied by the buyer and confirms the available controller and harness configuration.

For turbocharged engines, the review may also cover manifold pressure range, injector capacity, fuel pressure, ignition requirements, boost-control hardware and wideband air-fuel ratio feedback. For engine swaps or specialist builds, trigger compatibility, cylinder configuration and the required auxiliary functions become equally important.

APPLICATION AREAS

Built for workshops and real tuning projects

01

Turbo conversion

Coordinate selected fuel, ignition and pressure-related changes for a forced-induction build after the vehicle and hardware are reviewed.

02

Street performance

Add targeted tuning functions while retaining the factory ECU and the original systems required for daily operation.

03

Motorsport development

Create an evaluation platform for dyno development, track testing and specialist vehicles with clearly defined control requirements.

04

Private-label supply

Develop a repeatable controller, harness and packaging combination for tuners, distributors and vehicle-program partners.

01→N

FROM EVALUATION TO REPEAT SUPPLY

MOQ 1 for testing, OEM/ODM support for growth

Buy one universal piggyback ECU for compatibility evaluation and installation development. Once the controller, harness and calibration route are proven, LikedLinking can support repeat orders, custom cable lengths, connector changes, labeling, packaging and private-label requirements according to the confirmed project scope.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Before ordering a universal piggyback ECU

These answers cover the practical questions that determine whether the product is suitable for a project.

No. “Universal” refers to the wiring and application approach, not automatic compatibility with every engine or factory ECU. Signals, trigger systems, injector and ignition arrangements, voltage levels and required functions must be checked first.

START WITH THE APPLICATION

Tell us what the engine needs to control

Send the vehicle, engine code, factory ECU information, induction type, required functions and expected quantity. We will use those details to review the controller and wiring package.
